Archival history

The archive was transferred to the institution on 30.09.2010. On 12.04.2021, around 2000 sheet music documents and some photographs were purchased from İmge Sahaf.

Immediate source of acquisition or transfer

Purchased from Cüneyd Kosal through the Istanbul 2010 Capital of Culture Agency. The second group of documents was purchased from İmge Sahaf.

It will be kept permanently as it contains the original manuscript notes.

System of arrangement

The works in the notebooks are divided into 32 series. The “Compositions”, “Instrumental” and “Songs” series are divided into 38 sub-series.
At the end of the project, all identified works will be transferred to the AtoM system in a hierarchical classification order.
